A guide on organizing your event dashboard, editing event details, and tracking progress. Includes tips on scheduling updates and setting up recurring events.

Your event dashboard on Kago Events is the central hub for planning, tracking, and updating your events. Follow this guide to organize your dashboard effectively, edit event details, track progress, schedule attendee updates, and set up recurring events.

1. Organizing Your Event Dashboard

  • Customize Your Dashboard Layout: Arrange your widgets and key metrics, like ticket sales, registration numbers, and attendee engagement, for a clear overview of your event’s performance.
  • Categorize Events: Group similar events (e.g., webinars, conferences) into folders or categories to keep everything organized.
  • Pin Important Events: Use the “Pin” feature to prioritize certain events, keeping them visible at the top of your dashboard for easy access.

2. Editing Event Details

To keep event information up-to-date and accurate, Kago Events allows you to edit any details as needed.

  • Update Basic Information: In the dashboard, click on your event, then select “Edit Event.”
    • Event Title & Description: Make sure the title is clear and engaging, and edit the description to include any new details.
    • Date, Time & Location: Modify event dates, times, or venues as needed. For virtual events, confirm the time zone and include a link to the online platform.
  • Add or Adjust Agenda Items: Add new sessions, speakers, or activities to the event agenda. Make changes to session times, and update speaker bios if needed.
  • Modify Registration & Ticketing Options: Edit ticket prices, add or remove ticket types, and adjust quantities if attendance expectations change. You can also set deadlines for certain ticket categories, like early bird pricing.

3. Tracking Event Progress

Monitor your event’s success using the dashboard’s tracking and reporting tools.

  • Check Registrations and Sales: Access real-time data on attendee registrations and ticket sales, including ticket types and demographics.
  • View Engagement Metrics: Analyze attendee interactions with your event page, such as views, click-throughs, and shares. Adjust promotional efforts based on engagement insights.
  • Review Financial Data: For paid events, keep an eye on revenue, refunds, and payment statuses to assess the event’s financial performance.

4. Scheduling Updates

Keep your attendees and team members informed by scheduling regular updates.

  • Send Announcements to Attendees: Use the “Announcements” tool to send updates, such as schedule changes, new speakers, or reminders about important dates.
  • Automate Reminders: Set up reminders to be automatically sent out before key dates, like the event start date or the registration deadline. This can help reduce no-shows.
  • Notify Your Team: Use the dashboard’s internal notification options to alert team members about critical updates, such as new attendee limits or logistical changes.

5. Setting Up Recurring Events

If you plan to host similar events regularly, Kago Events offers features for setting up recurring events.

  • Define the Recurrence Pattern: Select a recurrence schedule, like weekly, monthly, or custom intervals. This is helpful for series-based events, like recurring workshops or classes.
  • Edit Individual Instances: Each event in the series can be customized to include unique speakers, topics, or session times without altering the overall pattern.
  • Manage Registration Options for Series: Allow attendees to sign up for one session or the full series, depending on the event type. Offer bundle pricing or discount options for multiple registrations.

Additional Tips

  • Use Event Templates: Save time by creating templates for recurring or similar events. This will standardize your setup process and ensure consistency.
  • Integrate with Other Platforms: Connect with tools like your CRM, email marketing services, or analytics software to simplify workflows and get deeper insights.
  • Archive Completed Events: Once events are over, archive them to keep your dashboard clean while retaining access to data for post-event analysis.
